11.4.2. Check of a pressure of the steering pump

Petrol models

Preparation for verification of the pressure head characteristic of the steering pump (petrol models)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove an air inlet (1).
  2. Pump out liquid from the GUR (7) tank.
  3. Disconnect from the steering pump a broad hose (2), - prepare for collecting spilled liquid and connect instead of it the transitional line (3).
  4. To a broad hose (2) connect the union (4).
  5. Connect to the transitional line (3) a manometer (5).
  6. Between a manometer (5) and the connecting union (4) turn on the locking valve (6).
  7. Make sure that the connected components do not adjoin to moving components in an impellent compartment. Check reliability of shtutserny connections.
  8. Fill in in the tank of the steering pump (7) necessary quantity (to normal level) hydraulic liquid.
  9. Start the engine and lift its turns approximately to 1000 in a minute.
  10. Close the locking valve (6) and consider manometer indications.

Try to carry out necessary procedures as soon as possible in order to avoid an overheat of temperature of liquid!

  1. Muffle the engine, pump out liquid from the tank (7) and disconnect the measuring equipment.
  2. Restore initial connection of all lines, modify liquid level in the GUR tank (see. Head the Current leaving and service), then remove air from a hydraulic path, having several times turned a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop.
  3. Check shtutserny knots on existence of signs of development of leaks, in case of need tighten nuts.
  4. Establish into place an air inlet (1).
