10.18. Check, removal and installation of brake disks

Check

Measurement of size of lateral palpation of a brake disk (on an example of the brake mechanism of a forward wheel)


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Estimate size люфта the wheel bearing, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Head Transmission line).
  2. Remove wheels and visually estimate a condition of brake disks. At identification of deep furrows disks should be pierced within admissible values, or to replace (see below).

Disks are subject to replacement also in case the thickness any leaves them for the bottom border of an admissible range (see. Specifications).

  1. Fix on stupichny assembly a tsiferblatny measuring instrument of DTI, having pressed it a plunzher to a lateral surface of a disk.
  2. Null a measuring instrument and, rotating a disk define size of its lateral palpation.
  3. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications, in case of need replace disks (see below).

Removal and installation

Brake disks should change a set at the same time for both wheels of one axis!

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove brake shoes (see. Section Check of a condition and replacement of brake shoes).
  2. Remove a support (see. Section Removal and installation of supports of brake mechanisms).
  3. Turn out a lock bolt (64) and remove a brake disk (61), - the bolt is subject to replacement without fail.
  4. Installation is made upside-down, - a landing surface of a disk before installation grease with durable greasing of MV No. 000 989 63 51 type.
  5. In summary check level of brake liquid, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Head Current leaving and service).

Disks of forward brake mechanisms

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a support (see. Section Removal and installation of supports of brake mechanisms).
  2. Remove brake shoes (see. Section Check of a condition and replacement of brake shoes).
  3. Remove an anchor bracket (6), - prepare replaceable самоконтрящиеся bolts.
  4. Take away back boots of the parking brake.
  5. Turn out a lock bolt and remove a brake disk.
  6. Installation is made upside-down.
  7. In summary check level of brake liquid, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Head Current leaving and service).
