9.2.10. Replacement of epiploons

On an example of an epiploon of a target flange of connection of the driveshaft of a drive of the forward bridge (replacement of epiploons of the remained two shaft is made in a similar manner)

Details of installation of epiploons of shaft of a transfer case

1 — the Connecting flange of connection of the driveshaft of a drive of the forward bridge
2 — the Connecting flange of connection of the driveshaft of a drive of a transfer case
3 — the Connecting flange of connection of the driveshaft of a drive of the back bridge of an axis

4 — Persistent washers
5 — Epiploons

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from a transfer case driveshafts (see. The section Detachment and connection of driveshafts on a transfer case).
  2. Previously having marked its adjusting situation, remove a connecting flange (10), - in case of need use a stripper.
  3. By means of a suitable ex-tractor remove an epiploon (5).
  4. Installation is made upside-down. For landing of an epiploon use a suitable opravka (an epiploon previously grease with universal greasing of the Molykote type). Before installation of a flange fill in it bolts of fastening of the driveshaft.
