6.4.3. Removal and installation of final collectorsPetrol models
Left collector
Models 463.249/250

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Uncover the power unit with the built-in air purifier (see. Section Removal and installation of components of an inlet air path).
- Remove the left coils of ignition (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).
- On models 463.250 (М112) for the purpose of ensuring access to bolts of fastening of cross-section section of system of release remove left dokataliticheskiya a lambda probe (G3/3) with the electroconducting (G3/3x1) brought to it.
- Remove the top section of the thermofilter (5).

The screen consists of two pribolchenny to each other sections. |
- On models 463.249 (М113) disconnect from the controler a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve.
- Release flange connection of fastening of cross-section section of system of release (10/8) to the left final collector (1).
- Turn out bolts (9) fastenings of the bottom section of system of release to a transmission case.
- Remove the bottom section of the thermofilter (6).
- Give nuts (2) and remove the left final collector (1), - prepare replaceable nuts (2), sealing laying (4) and hairpins.
- Installation is made upside-down.
- In summary make cleaning of memory of the processor of system of onboard self-diagnostics (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).

Models 463.246 (G55 AMG)

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Uncover the power unit with the built-in air purifier (see. Section Removal and installation of components of an inlet air path).
- Remove left dokataliticheskiya a lambda probe with the electroconducting connected to it.
- Remove the top section of the thermofilter (3).
- Disconnect from the controler a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve.
- Release flange connection (5) fastenings of the bottom section of system of release, - in case of need replace nuts.
- Remove the bottom section of the thermofilter (4).
- Give eight fixing nuts (2) and remove the left final collector (1).
- Installation is made upside-down.
- In summary make cleaning of memory of the processor of system of onboard self-diagnostics (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).

Right collector
Details of installation of the right final collector on petrol models (on a M112 engine example)

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Remove an air purifier (see. Section Removal and installation of components of an inlet air path).
- Remove the right coils of ignition (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).
- Remove the thermofilter (5) established under a collector.
- Remove the generator (4) thermofilter.
- On models 463.250 (М112) separate forward section of system of release from a final collector, - in case of need replace nuts of bolts (7).
- On models 463.249/246 (М113) remove flange connections at the left and on the right on forward section of system of release.
- Give fixing nuts (2) and, having submitted up, remove the right final collector (1).
- Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace a nut (2), sealing laying (3) and hairpins.

- Remove a turbokompressor (see. Section Service of components of an inlet air path).
- Give fixing nuts (5) and remove final collectors (1 and 3) and their sealing laying (2), - nuts is subject to replacement without fail.
- Installation is made upside-down, - check a condition of the fixing hairpins (4), the damaged fixture replace.
