6.4.2. Removal and installation of system of production of the fulfilled gases

In case of need each of sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases can be removed in an individual order.

Everything самоконтрящиеся elements of carving fixture are subject to replacement without fail!

Petrol models

Models 463.249/250 of a standard complete set

Except models 463.250 (K89 code) and 463.246 (AMG)

11 — Basic arms


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove right dokataliticheskiya a lambda probe (G3/4) from forward section of system of production of the fulfilled gases and disconnect from it electroconducting (G3/4x1).
  2. Turn out left dokataliticheskiya a lambda probe (G3/3) from cross-section section of system of production of the fulfilled gases (6) and disconnect from it electroconducting (G3/3x1).
  3. Release boltovy connections (2/3) and separate a flange of the left forward section (9) of system of release from the right final collector, - in case of need make replacement of nuts (3).
  4. On models 463.250 remove arms (11) fastenings of the bottom section of system of production of the fulfilled gases.
  5. Release boltovy connections (2/3) and separate a flange of cross-section section (6) of system of release from the right forward section (9), - in case of need make replacement of nuts (3).
  6. Operating in a similar manner, separate cross-section section from the left final collector, - in case of need make replacement of nuts (3).
  7. Turn out bolts (10) and separate cross-section section (6) from a transmission case.
  8. Dismember flange connections of fastening of catalytic converters (5) to forward sections (9) of system of release and to the main exhaust silencer (7).
  9. Remove section of catalytic converters (5) with rubber подвесов (1), - if catalytic converters are subject to removal, release both arms.
  10. Separate the main exhaust silencer (7) from the back exhaust silencer (8).
  11. Weaken landing of an arm and remove the back exhaust silencer (8) with rubber подвесов (1).
  12. Installation is made upside-down, - the damaged sealing rings and rubber подвесы are subject to replacement without fail. The same concerns nuts (3) flange connections. Track, that sections of system of release were established without tension.

The damaged components of system of production of the fulfilled gases are subject to replacement without fail.

Models 463.250 with the K89 code (G320)

At utilization of three-functional catalytic converters (TWC) it is necessary to observe surely requirements of the federal legislation for environmental protection!

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Release a fixing collar (2) and separate an exhaust pipe (1) from the main exhaust silencer (12).
  2. To Otboltita an exhaust pipe (1) from a basic arm (3) also take it from under the car.
  3. Release flange connections (5 and 6) fastenings of the left forward exhaust silencer (4).
  4. Remove the exhaust silencer (4) from a basic arm (7).
  5. Disconnect electroconducting from top and bottom a lambda probes on the left catalytic converter (8).
  6. Remove the top section of the thermofilter (9).
  7. Release flange connection (10) left forward sections of system of release.
  8. Separate an arm (11) from a frame and the left catalytic converter (8).
  9. Release flange connection (13) fastenings of the main exhaust silencer (12) to the right forward exhaust silencer (14).
  10. Remove the main exhaust silencer (12).
  11. Release flange connection (15) fastenings of the right forward exhaust silencer (14) to the catalytic converter (17).
  12. Separate from a frame an arm (16) and remove the right forward exhaust silencer (14).
  13. Disconnect electroconducting from top and bottom a lambda probes on the right catalytic converter (17).
  14. Remove the top section of the thermofilter (18).
  15. Release flange connection (19) fastenings of the right catalytic converter (17) to the right forward section.
  16. Disconnect from a frame an arm (20) and remove assembly of the right catalytic converter (17).
  17. Installation is made upside-down, - track, that sections of system of release were established without tension.

The damaged components of system of production of the fulfilled gases are subject to replacement without fail.

Models 463.246 (G55 AMG)

At utilization of three-functional catalytic converters (TWC) it is necessary to observe surely requirements of the federal legislation for environmental protection!

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Release flange connection (5) left bottom sections of system of release.
  2. Release flange connection (1) on assembly of the back exhaust silencer (2).
  3. Remove from a frame an arm (7) and dismantle the TWC (4) block.
  4. Remove the back exhaust silencer (2) with подвесов (3) and take it from under the car.
  5. Disconnect electroconducting from a lambda probes from above and from below assemblies of the catalytic converter (4), - fixing bindings should be cut.
  6. Remove the top section of the left thermofilter.
  7. Installation is made upside-down, - do not forget to establish new bindings of fastening of electroconducting a lambda probes.

The damaged components of system of production of the fulfilled gases are subject to replacement without fail.

  1. Release bolts (1 and 3) fastenings forward (2) and back (4) arms.
  2. Release left (5) and the right (7) flange connections on the back exhaust silencer (6) which should be propped up previously. Prepare a replaceable sealing cone.
  3. To Otboltita average section of system of release (8) from forward (2) and back (4) arms also take it from under the car, it will be reasonable to secure with the help of the assistant.
  4. Release flange connection (5) fastenings to the back exhaust silencer (6) of an exhaust pipe (9), - prepare a replaceable sealing cone.
  5. Remove the back exhaust silencer (6) and an exhaust pipe (9).
  6. Installation is made upside-down.

Replacement of the primary catalytic converter

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove panels of furnish of a cover of a head of cylinders.
  2. Remove an air purifier (see. Section Service of components of an inlet air path).
  3. Remove a collar (1) fastening of a turbokompressor (2) to the primary catalytic converter (3), - prepare a replaceable sealing cone.
  4. Remove a collar (4) fastenings of the primary catalytic converter (3) to a pipe of system of release (5), - prepare a replaceable sealing cone.
  5. Release nuts (7) and remove an arm (6) fastenings of the catalytic converter (3) to an engine case.
  6. Remove the catalytic converter (3).
  7. Installation is made upside-down.

Models 463.333 (М628)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props.
  2. Remove loker of protection of wheel arches (see. Head Body).
  3. Turn out fixing bolts (3 and 4) and remove covers (1 and 2).
  4. Turn out bolts (7) and remove left (5) and the right (6) thermofilters.
  5. To Otboltita fixing collars (8) on turbokompressor.
  6. Prop up the main exhaust silencer (12) and release collars (11).
  7. Remove the main exhaust silencer (12).
  8. Release collars (13).
  9. Prop up assembly of the forward exhaust silencer and the catalytic converter and turn out bolts (14) on an arm (15).
  10. Delay the forward exhaust silencer (16) from the right catalytic converter (17) and remove it from the car.
  11. Turn out a bolt (18) on an arm (19) and remove the right catalytic converter (17).
  12. Turn out a bolt (20) on an arm (21) and remove the left forward exhaust silencer (22), having delayed it from the left catalytic converter (23).
  13. Turn out a bolt (24) on an arm (25) and remove the left catalytic converter (23).
  14. Remove an exhaust pipe (10).
  15. Installation is made upside-down.
