Antifreeze - means of protection from freezing

Do not allow antifreeze hit on open sites of a body and the painted surfaces of the car. Casual splashes immediately wash away a plentiful quantity of water. Remember that antifreeze is extremely toxic liquid and its hit in an organism even in small amounts is fraught with the most serious consequences, up to a lethal outcome. Never leave antifreeze being stored in leaky closed container, immediately collect cooling liquid spilled on a floor. Remember that the sweetish smell of antifreeze can draw to itself attention of children and animals. Cooling liquid

With a view of the prevention of obstruction of a radiator products of corrosion of aluminum components in a radiator recommend to fill a mix of special antifreeze/inhibitor of corrosion (KFM) with the distilled water. By the Mercedes-Benz company it is approved to KFM «TYPE 30» application.

The system of cooling is all-the-year-round filled with a mix of water, antifreeze and anticorrosive means. It interferes with a rust and corrosion, adjournment of salts and, besides, increases temperature of boiling of cooling liquid. In cooling system because of liquid expansion when heating superfluous pressure is created that also conducts to increase of a boiling point of cooling liquid. Pressure is limited located in a cover of a broad tank to the valve which opens at pressure of 1.4 ÷ 1.6 atm. Additional efficiency of functioning of system of cooling is provided at the expense of increase of a boiling point of cooling liquid. Excess of a boiling point conducts to formation of the steam jams breaking normal circulation of liquid in an okhladitelny path.
