Combination of devices

Design of a combination of devices

Instrumentations

Activation of a combination of devices

Activation of a combination of devices is made when opening a driver's door, a key povorachivaniya in the ignition lock in situation 1 or 2, pressing the turn-push handle of dumping of indications of the counter of the current run (1) and inclusion of illumination of salon (see. Section Governing bodies and salon equipment).

Adjustment of intensity of illumination of devices

Adjustment of intensity of illumination of devices (at included running fires - see. The section Governing bodies and the salon equipment) is made by means of built in at the left in a combination of devices of the turn-push handle (1), - by means of the same handle activation of a combination of devices (see above) and dumping of the indication of the counter of the current distance in kilometers (see below) can be made.

Measuring instrument of a stock of fuel

The measuring instrument (5) is in the right corner of a combination of devices and serves for visual monitoring of a stock of fuel remaining in a tank.

The error of indications of a measuring instrument of a stock of fuel is minimum, when the car occupies strictly horizontal situation. At car movement on twisting or hilly roads the error of the device increases. Functioning of a measuring instrument does not depend on position of the ignition key. The label 1/1 corresponds to a condition of complete filling, R - to an empty tank (with a reserve stock). Built in the measuring instrument dial the control lamp with the image of a filling station informs the driver on need at the first possibility to make car refueling.

In the left bottom corner of the dial of a measuring instrument control lamps of SRS are built in and «Fasten belts» (see below).

Speedometer

The speedometer is located in the central part of a combination of devices and shows speed of movement of the car in km/h.

In the dial of a speedometer are placed the panel of control lamps / light indicators the multipurpose display of the board computer.

Tachometer

The tachometer is to the left of a speedometer and shows frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine in thousand revolutions per minute (the indication should be multiplied on 100). In order to avoid an exit of the engine it is out of operation forbidden to exceed the most admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (the arrow of a tachometer never should come into a red zone of a scale).

For the purpose of protection of the engine at achievement by turns of a cranked shaft of a range of red marking the otsechka of supply of fuel is carried out.

In the right bottom corner of the indicator of a tachometer control lamps of raising of lay brake/falling of level of brake liquid and ABS (see below) are built in.

Fields of indication of base page of the multipurpose display of the board computer

The instruction on using the board computer is provided in the operation manual on the car, - ask in shops of automobile literature.

Odometer and counter of a distance in kilometers of the current run

Fields of indication of the odometer (2) and the counter of the current run (1) are located one over another in the central part of base page of the multipurpose display. The odometer registers the general run of a vehicle from the moment of input it in the operation, the dumped counter of the current run allows to trace a distance in kilometers of a concrete trip of the car (from the moment of the last zeroing of indications).

For dumping of indications of the counter it is necessary to activate a combination of devices, then to press built in in the left corner of a combination of devices the turn-push handle and to hold it pressed during about 1 second.

On the display the base page should be cut.

Indicator of temperature of external air

The field of indication of indications of the sensor of temperature of external air (3) is in the left bottom corner of base page of the multipurpose display. The temperature is defined in degrees Celsius (°C).

Change of indications after departure from garage occurs to the certain delay caused by inertia of adaptation of the sensor.

Besides, the compulsory delay of increase of indications according to increase in ambient temperature is provided at temperature of cooling liquid of the engine from above 60°С, - that allows to prevent aimings from the hot engine during stops and at car movement with small speeds.

Chronometer

Under indication of indications of an onboard chronometer the right bottom corner of base page of the multipurpose display is taken away. The regulator of installation of indications of a chronometer is located at the left under the tachometer dial (see in the same place). Rotation of the regulator extended from the panel clockwise leads to increase in indications, against - to reduction.

Indicator of position of the lever of a selector/range of switching of AT

The field of indication of the current range of AT (5) is located in the left top corner of base page of the multipurpose display. The symbol corresponding to chosen position of the lever of the AT selector (by "R", «R», «N» or «D») is in the field highlighted.

The indicator of the chosen mode of a transfer case

The field of indication of the current mode of a transfer case (6) is located in the left top corner of base page of the multipurpose display, is direct over a field of indication of the current range of AT (4). The symbol corresponding to the chosen mode of the transfer case (by the "N", «L» or «N») is in the field highlighted.

Control lamps and light indicators

The whole complex of control lamps and indicators by means of which the driver receives important information on serviceability/violation functioning of the main units and car systems is built in assembly of a combination of devices of the car. The scheme of an arrangement of control lamps on an instrument guard is presented on an illustration the Design of a combination of devices. One more control lamp (a settler of the filter of a power supply system) is located on the central console ahead of the AT selector lever.

Light indicators of indexes of turn / alarm system

The light indicators issued in the form of arrows have a green luminescence and serve for control of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding indexes of turns. The direction of display arrows coincides with the chosen direction of a change of course of the car. Indicators work in a flashing mode with the frequency corresponding to frequency of a blinking of indexes of turn. The speeded-up blinking of one of indicators usually testifies to a peregoraniye of a lamp of one of indexes of the corresponding turn, - at the first possibility make replacement of the burned-down lamp not to create emergencies on roads.

The simultaneous blinking of indicators of indexes of both turns usually accompanies turning on of the alarm system.

Control lamp of system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS

This control lamp serves for control of serviceability of functioning of ABS, quickly works at inclusion of ignition and should die away some seconds later after implementation of start of the engine. Refusal of a lamp of shutdown, and also its activation during movement testifies to violation of serviceability of functioning of system of anti-blocking of brakes, - the car should be driven away immediately on HUNDRED companies Mercedes-Benzs for carrying out diagnostics and performance of necessary regenerative repair.

At the same time with ABS systems 4-ETS and ESP) are disconnected also that should prove to be true operation of the corresponding control lamp (see below).

Control lamp of level brake liquids/refusals brake system/indicator of raising of the parking brake

The control lamp continuously burns when raising the parking brake, reminding the driver of need of his otpuskaniye before a start of motion. Precautionary control lamp antiprobuksovochny (4-ETS) / protivozanosny (ESP) / anti-blocking (ABS) of systems

The system 4-ETS is activated on speeds from 40 to 80 km/h at achievement any of wheels of a limit of coupling of the tire with the road (for example, at unilateral ice). The corresponding wheel is thus braked for the purpose of ensuring reliable traction effort.

This control lamp is quickly activated at inclusion of ignition and should go out right after implementation of start of the engine. At high load of brake mechanisms there is an automatic short-term shutdown of system 4-ETS for the purpose of prevention of an overheat of brakes, - this shutdown is accompanied by activation of a control lamp.

At car towage with the back wheels torn off from the earth, and also at check of serviceability of functioning of brake mechanisms at the stand the engine should be muffled, since otherwise active braking influence of ESP system can lead to failure of brake mechanisms of back wheels!

Control lamp of refusals of MIL («Check the engine»)

This control lamp quickly works at inclusion of ignition and should die away some seconds later after implementation of start of the engine. For shutdown of the control lamp activated after filling of completely devastated fuel tank it is necessary to repeat three-four times procedure of start of the engine.

Light indicator of activation of Speedtronic system

This indicator serves for confirmation of activation of a mode of variable restriction of speed темпостата (Speedtronic) (see. Section of the Control system in the speed (Tempostat/Speedtronic)).

Light indicator of activation of a driving beam

This indicator serves for confirmation of activation of a driving beam of headlights.

Control lamp of preheat of the diesel engine

The control lamp of preheat lights up at inclusion of ignition and testifies to activation of system of preheat. Start of the engine should be carried out not earlier than the control lamp will be disconnected.

The light indicator «Fasten a seat belt»

This indicator has an amber luminescence and quickly (approximately for 6 seconds) works ignition inclusion, reminding the driver and passengers of need of a pristegivaniye seat belts.

Control lamp of system of additional safety (SRS)

This control lamp approximately for 4 seconds lights up at inclusion of ignition and should die away right after implementation of start of the engine. If the lama continues to burn at the working engine (in a constant or flashing mode), it indicates existence of malfunction of components of SRS system. At the corresponding complete set operation of this control lamp can be the testimony of malfunction in contours of lateral and head safety cushions, or devices of automatic emergency natyazhitel of seat belts.

Control lamp of a moisture separator of a power supply system
