2.5.8. Antiprobuksovochny system (4-ETS)

At check to car towage with torn off from the earth one of bridges, and also at check of efficiency of functioning of the parking brake at the test bench the engine should be suppressed in order to avoid damage of brake system as a result of operation of antiprobuksovochny system!

Functioning of ETS system provides the increased course stability of the car at any high-speed modes and, besides, prevents pro-slipping of driving wheels at a troganiye from a place and sharp accelerations on a slippery paving.

Activation of system is made automatically at car movement with speeds from 40 to 80 km/h.

Functioning of ETS is supervised at the same time with a condition of protivozanosny system (ESP), - about dangerous decrease in factor of coupling of tires with a paving of the driver lamp activation in flashing a special control lamp 4-ETS/ESP (warns see. Section Combination of devices, measuring instruments, control lamps and light indicators).

At detection of malfunctions in antiprobuksovochny system the control lamp 4-ETS (is activated see. Section Combination of devices, measuring instruments, control lamps and light indicators).

At activation of the LOW mode of a transfer case the system 4-ETS is transferred to the specific mode of functioning providing increase of reliability of control of traction effort.

Maximum efficiency of action 4-ETS in a winter season is reached at use of tires of the class M+S (for movement on dirt and snow).

Use on a leading axis of tires of the different size leads to appreciable decrease in efficiency of return of antiprobuksovochny system!

At high load of brake mechanisms there is an automatic short-term shutdown of system 4-ETS for the purpose of prevention of an overheat of brakes, - this shutdown is accompanied by activation of a control lamp.

In default systems of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS) it is disconnected as well antiprobuksovochny system, at the disconnected protivozanosny system (see. The section Electronic protivozanosny system (ESP)) 4-ETS continues to function.
