4.7. Verification of the base provision of a balancing shaft (only M112 engines and 628)

Verification of the base provision of a balancing shaft of the M112 engine

1 — Grooves in camshafts
2 — the Blocking plate of the right camshaft
3 — the Opening in a back counterbalance

4 — the Back counterbalance
And — the Pin in a case
In — Risk on a forward counterbalance

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove transmission assembly (see. Head Automatic transmission).
  2. Remove a driving disk.
  3. Check the base provision of camshafts (see. Section Check and adjustment of base provision of camshafts).

On the models equipped with the air pump it is necessary to dismantle also right combined valve which sealing laying is subject to replacement without fail.

  1. Establish blocking plates (2) on the right and left heads of cylinders, having filled them in grooves (1) camshafts.
  2. At the correct installation of a balancing shaft the opening (3) in a back counterbalance (4) should be combined with a nest in an engine case, - fill in openings a pin with a dimeter of 8.40 ÷ 8.55 mm. Make sure also of combination risks (In) on a forward counterbalance with a pin (And) in a case, - risk and a pin are located approximately in 22 cm below an interfaced surface of a head and are looked through through a window in the left cover of a drive of GRM.
  3. At violation of base installation it is necessary to replace a balancing shaft.
  4. Operating as it should be the return to a dismantle order, establish into place all acting in film components.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove covers of heads of cylinders (see illustrations of the Detail of installation of covers of heads of cylinders of the M682 engine (1 of 2) and the Detail of installation of covers of heads of cylinders of the M682 engine (2 of 2)).
  2. Remove an intermediate cooler (Intercooler) of system of a turbo-supercharging (see. Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  3. Turn out the bottom bolt (3а) covers (3), - for the purpose of ensuring access to a bolt turn a cranked shaft in the normal direction.
  4. Bring the piston of the first cylinder into situation VMT.
  5. Turn out the top bolt (3b) and uncover (3).
  6. Remove a centrifuge.
  7. Make sure that the natyazhitel (9) provides demanded effort of a tension of a gas-distributing chain.
  8. Establish on a case a cover (3) and fix it the top bolt (3b).
  9. Turn a cranked shaft on two complete revolutions in the normal direction, again having brought the piston of the first cylinder into situation VMT.
  10. Again uncover (3).
  11. Make sure of correctness of base installation of camshafts (see. Section Check and adjustment of base provision of camshafts).
  12. Check correctness of base installation of a balancing shaft, a spring (5) which should occupy the situation shown in a picture, and marking (6) on an asterisk (7) to be slightly displaced concerning situation «at 12 o'clock».
  13. Operating as it should be, the return to a dismantle order, establish acting in film components on the places.
  14. In summary make reading of the DTC codes and cleaning of memory of system of onboard self-diagnostics by means of the STAR DIAGNOSIS scanner (6511 1801 00) (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).
