10.9. Removal and installation of wheel ABS sensors

Forward sensors

Details of installation of the forward wheel ABS sensor

L6/1 — the Sensor of the left forward wheel
L6/2 — the Sensor of the right forward wheel

1 — the Bolt

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
  2. Turn out a fixing bolt (1) and remove the sensor (L6/1 or L6/2).
  3. Slightly grease its landing nest in stupichny assembly, then disconnect from the sensor electroconducting (X62/26 or X62/27).
  4. Estimate a rotor condition (a measuring ring) on stupichny assembly, in case of need make replacement (see. Section Removal and installation of rotors of wheel ABS sensors).
  5. Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models of the corresponding complete set (ET2 code) activate a service mode of system of an emergency call of TELE AID (see. Section Activation/deactivation of a service mode of system of an emergency call of TELE AID).
  1. Turn on the auxiliary accumulator and connect it to the regular battery, then disconnect from the last a negative wire.

    7 — the Auxiliary accumulator
    8 — the Plug of a positive wire of the module
    9 — the Plug of a negative wire of the module
    W10 — battery Grounding
  1. Remove the corresponding back wheel.
  2. Carefully liberate the sensor (L6/3 or L6/4) from the brass landing plug (1).
  3. Estimate a rotor condition (a measuring ring) on a nave, - in case of need make replacement (see. Section Removal and installation of rotors of wheel ABS sensors).
  4. Remove the brass coupling (2).
  5. Remove the assembly block of the relay in an impellent compartment of the car (see. Head Onboard electric equipment).
  6. Disunite the socket (X92/3) of electroconducting of ABS laid in a tool box (3) in a luggage compartment of the car.
  7. Disunite other sockets of a plait (4) in a tool box (3).
  8. Remove the vlagozashchitny screen.
  9. Push a plait of electroconducting (4) in an opening through passage (5) in the floor panel.
  10. Disconnect from the socket (X92/3) electroconducting of the wheel sensor (L6/3 or L6/4) and finally remove the last assembled with a plait.
  11. Installation is made upside-down, - track correctness of laying of electroconducting, for fixing of a plait use a new insulating tape.
  12. On models of the corresponding complete set (ET2 code) деактивируйте a service mode of TELE AID system (see. Section Activation/deactivation of a service mode of system of an emergency call of TELE AID).
  13. 2 in summary make reading of the DTC codes and cleaning of memory of system of onboard self-diagnostics by means of the STAR DIAGNOSIS scanner (6511 1801 00) (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).
